One day, while escaping a monsoon rain, she discovers a sacred white elephant named Rambu under the branches of a Golden Rain Tree. Lily and Rambu develop a special bond and friendship, giving Lily the confidence and happiness she has longed for. However, she must keep Rambu’s discovery a secret because all white elephants belong to the king. When word gets out around the village that there is a white elephant in the forest, police descend on her village in search of Rambu.
