Courage in the Dark is about a little girl who is afraid of the dark and dreads going to bed each night. She finds her courage as the story goes on. This book was inspired by Nicole's childhood. She remembers being afraid and having to find her courage. This book is meant to encourage young readers to be courageous even when things are scary. Courage in the Dark was written with a genuine passion for encouraging young children.
Nicole Sims
Nicole is a new author with a dream to inspire young readers. She has loved writing for as long as she can remember. Nicole was born in Wewoka, OK, and is married to her wonderful husband, Austin. They have two daughters and three fur babies.
Nicole has been an educator for 16 years. She holds a Master's in Education from Ashford University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University.
Nicole currently works as the Secondary Reading Specialist at John Rex Charter School in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. In her spare time, she loves to read and create content for her Facebook page, Encouragement Daily.
Writing a children's book has always been a dream of hers, and she prays it inspires young readers around the world.
