Renée Hill is a member of the Oklahoma Writers’ Federation, Inc. and Invite to Write.
B0UND is Renée Hill’s second book, but she has always enjoyed putting words together, beginning with her 20-year career in local radio as an on-air personality, on stage in local theater, singing with choral groups like Steadfast Love, a brief stint in newspaper, and finally her work in preteen ministry, where she wrote much of the curriculum and taught young people for over 23 years.
These days, Renée spends most afternoons in her writing nook with a cup of Earl Grey, typing away on her computer. She is also a very active wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her family, getting together with friends, gardening, playing her guitar, and wrestling with her miniature poodle.
Bound opens in a small Vermont town called Danport, where Friday nights are for high school football and all businesses close on Sunday for church. It is into this ordinary, unsuspecting, little community that a stranger walks. As he passes house after unsuspecting house, he thinks to himself, Norman Rockwell could not have painted a cozier picture. If only they knew. Full of self-loathing, the stranger is on a mission to wreak havoc, and he’s good at what he does. This peaceful little hamlet won’t even know what hit them. Hating his life, overwhelmed with self-disdain, but with no choice, the stranger trudges on. He’s helpless to do otherwise. The stranger is bound.
