Suzanne “Suzie” Byrd has always loved to write, but life has often gotten in the way. She received a degree in Journalism from Oklahoma State University, where she was also an All-American athlete. Her other passion was business, and she spent over 20 years as a business partner and owner of health-related companies. She quit her business and went on an adventure to Key West, where she immersed herself in its culture. Suzie served as President of the Key West Writers Guild, was a member of the Island Scribes Critique group, and wrote her first book. Born in Oklahoma City, she returned to the state after spending 15 years in Florida. She settled in Enid, where she raised her family to be near her two grandkids. Suzie works as a reporter for her local newspaper and also writes books. She loves writing stories about people and their life journeys, both factual and fictional.
