Suzanne Byrd
Suzanne “Suzie” Byrd has always loved to write, but life has often gotten in the way. She received a degree in Journalism from Oklahoma State University, where she was also an All-American athlete. Her other passion was business, and she spent over 20 years as a business partner and owner of health-related companies. She quit her business and went on an adventure to Key West, where she immersed herself in its culture. Suzie served as President of the Key West Writers Guild, was a member of the Island Scribes Critique group, and wrote her first book. Born in Oklahoma City, she returned to the state after spending 15 years in Florida. She settled in Enid, where she raised her family to be near her two grandkids. Suzie works as a reporter for her local newspaper and also writes books. She loves writing stories about people and their life journeys, both factual and fictional.
"The Kiss: Love Through Rose-Colored Lenses" is the story of two girls who meet in college and share a kiss that changes their lives. Although they share love, passion, and a strong connection, life takes them in different directions. Katie Gray becomes a Navy pilot, and Addison Lee returns to her destiny in Mobile, Alabama. Through the years, they struggle to stay apart, but the kiss always brings them back together. Addison has a family, while Katie goes on to Sicily and other adventures. This story is the struggle of two gay women who met in the seventies and live a life of longing and love.
"Dream Planet" is an unforgettable blend of drama, spirituality, romance, and metaphysical mystery. When messages from beyond the veil crash into her orderly life, Wall Street executive Sally McClane is shaken awake. Her late husband appears in dreams too vivid to dismiss, and a mysterious spiritual guide insists she is part of a cosmic mission to restore balance to a world on the brink. Meanwhile, grieving journalist Beth crosses paths with an NFL star whose forgotten past holds clues to her own heartbreak—and to a destiny larger than either of them imagined. As hidden forces collide, three lives are pulled toward a powerful truth: love survives death, energy never dies, and some souls are born to shift the world.
